Christmas

I know this is like a week late. This year we stayed home for Christmas. It was the first time we stayed home for Christmas since having Jack and it was very nice! Last year when we flew home to California we flew late at night and had to deal with alot of flight delays so it was nice to not have to worry about any of that! This was the first year Jack was really excited and talked about santa and enjoyed opening presents. I have noticed that since having another kid we really feel like a little family. I mean of course we have always been a family! When it was just Mike and I sometimes it seemed like it was just these 2 adults but as we have added children it feels more and more like our own little family unit. On Christmas eve Jack did some grocery shopping and ran some last minute errands since Mike was home and able to stay with Hudson. Then we came home and baked cookies and watched Christmas movies and ate dinner.
Mike goes back to work tomorrow after having all this time off from work and I am not looking forward to having to get up at 6. Plus it is tough since we are still not taking Hudson out in public so my days seem extra long because we don't go any where! When Mike is home it is nice because I can go places and we take turns doing stuff with Jack.
For Christmas we (mike and I) bought a new camera. Our old one was almost 5 years old and on its last leg. It's just a basic point and shoot but I hope to get a nicer dslr in the spring? I am keeping my fingers crossed. I just have to talk Mike into it. For some reason he will justify buying a new flat screen tv. but not a camera to document our childrens life's. HAHA that is my argument. Of course the camera is no where near the $$ as our tv was!

Oh and at Hudson't 1 month check up he weighed exactly 12 lbs. That is the 93rd percentile and is already growing out of some of his 0-3 clothing.

Too Much

It has been forever since I have posted and there is just too much to say. Hudson was born on Nov. 25 and weighed 9lb. 6 oz. and was 21 inches long. He is a very good baby and sleeps really well. I think I just need to start fresh and will try to post more often.
Most of my day is spent trying to "protect" Hudson from Jack lol. The other night I caught Jack plugging Hudson's nose as Hudson was frantically waving his hands and feet around.
Currently Hudson's best friend is the Christmas tree. He will lay and stare at it for hours. Mike and Jack set the tree up when I was in the hospital so it has been here since we brought Hudson home and we tease that Hudson will be so sad when we put the tree up.
On Sunday we decorated a gingerbread house and so far it is Jack's biggest temptation. You would think that thing was made of crack. He just constantly wants to nibble on it. Whenever he uses the potty he gets to eat some candy off of it.
I took Hudson to the dr. when he was 3 weeks and he was already 10 lbs 6 oz.!
we are currently shopping for a new camera so I will be posting more/better pictures.

Someone is going to buy a can of Febreeze at the St. Charles Target only to discover it's almost empy!

So this morning Jack and I went to Target and we were walking down the isle with all of the air fresheners and Jack was a couple steps behind me and he stopped and picked up a thing of Febreeze arisol airfreshener and right as I was telling him to put it back he starts spraying it. I try to sternly, without yellling, tell him no and to stop etc. but it doesn't work and he just thinks it's hilarious because I can't take it from him without getting sprayed so I am kinda standing back. He would spray it and laugh, then stop and I would go and try and grab it then he would start spraying it again. This seriously went on for a couple of minutes. I didn't know what to do because I was trying so hard to not laugh but I didn't want to get sprayed. I am sure people walked by and was like "gosh that mother is just letting her kid spray that stuff". He finally stopped long enough for me to grab it and it only occured to me after I got home that maybe I should have bought it because I am sure it really didn't have much left in it.
Then when we got out to the car I opened the trunk and Jack climbed from inside the cart into the trunk. I knew he had done this and I was fine with it so I said "OK Jack stay there" and ran across the street to put the cart up and as I did this these 2 women walked by and stared at Jack just sitting in the trunk playing with my snow scraper. I felt like saying "I really don't drive around with him like that". I probably just looked like the worst parent today?!

Random Post, Update

-Only 7 more weeks! If I could have this baby tomorrow I would!
-When Jack wants me or Mike to play trains with him he says "mama/dada choo choo me". It cracks us up every time.
-He has started to touch my stomach and tell random people that I am having a baby.
-He can't say Hudson but if you ask him if the baby's name is Tom or Dave or any other random names he says no, then if you say Hudson he says yes.
-He still talks about wanting to take a bath or sleep with Hudson. I think it's cute but I hope he is not super in the baby's face and stuff like that.
-Jack likes these frozen bluberry's I bought at Costco in his cereal so every morning he asks for "baby blue balls".
